Hi LJ. It's been a year since I wrote and that is bad. There aren't many people left on LJ although I do still read. I guess Facebook has taken over. I'm on there, too, so I guess I'm part of the problem!
Things are good here. What has happened in the last year... hmm. Well, Dante did 5 weeks of radiation last year, and 1 year of chemo, he just finished the chemo a few weeks ago. His last MRI showed no tumor regrowth so that is what we want to happen forever. We switched hospitals for all of this and we are happy with his new doctors and staff. He has this little team of women (doctor and nurses) that we always see. They "get" him and it makes going to the hospital a little less stressful.
I've been eating gluten free for 4 weeks. I've had stomach issues since high school and this was something I've never tried. I'd avoided it but it was was time to try. It's been really hard but it appears that I may have some sort of gluten sensitivity. I went from having a stomachache about 50% of every day to having 4 or 5 in a month. So I'm going to try and stick with it as much as possible, while probably making some exceptions for things such as holidays, parties and the like. I cannot give up cupcakes forever.
The dogs are good. We have a new dog part about 1 mile from our house which is so awesome. They both need to lose a few pounds and running around there a few times a week will help.

I did some stuff today. -Got drivers license renewed.
-Paid rent and gave notice on the office. I move at the end of the month. Woot!
-Yelled at a telemarketer for calling 4x over a few minutes. Feel a little bad since it is just her job but seriously? Do not call list, people. On it.
-Got $60 jeans (new) for $1.50 at Name Brand Clothing. This is my current favorite store and I'm kind of obsessed with it.
-worked of course Typed this on my iPod with one finger so that took a while. I need to practice so I get faster. Posted via LiveJournal app for iPhone. |
